Ohio County Weather Event Update
Posted 06/15/22As of 10:00 am this morning, there remains 8,720 AEP customers without power. AEP has brought in over 100 crews from outside of the area, who will be working 16 hour days, to assist in restoring power as quickly as possible. With the high temperatures and humidity expected today, cooling stations have been established at the former Michaels store at The Highlands, West Liberty Fire Station, Bethlehem Fire Station and at the Wheeling Civic Center. Residents that need to get out of the heat can go to one of these locations to cool down. Residents needs special assistance can contact Ohio County Emergency Services at (304) 234-3756.
Take caution when driving. Avoid downed power lines and trees. Treat a non-working traffic signal as a four way stop!
