COMING SOON:  Broadband Expansion in Ohio County

On Thursday, Govenor Justice announced preliminary approval of over $17.4 million in Line Extension Advancement and Development (LEAD) program funds for various broadband infrastructure projects throughout the State.  One such grant was to Comcast in the amount of $6,839,403 to run an estimataed 120 miles of fiber optic cable in Brooke, Hancock, and Ohio Counties, reaching an estimtated total of 1,447 addresses.  In Ohio County, this new service will provide much needed broadband service to more than 350 currently unserved homes.
